HR Specialist / Manager – Israel Branch

About the role

We are a leading global Chinese automotive brand expanding in Israel and are looking for an experienced HR Specialist / Manager to lead our regional HR operations. Based in Tel Aviv, you will be responsible for talent acquisition, payroll, labor compliance and fostering cross‑cultural integration between Chinese expatriates and local staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment, maintain sourcing channels, screen resumes, conduct interviews, negotiate offers and oversee onboarding while tracking time‑to‑fill metrics.
• Oversee attendance, leave records and monthly payroll for local employees and expatriates, coordinate with vendors for social security and benefits, and work with Finance on disbursements.
• Administer labor contracts in full compliance with Israeli labor law, handle renewals, amendments, terminations, probation risks and dispute mitigation.
• Facilitate employee communication, exit interviews and performance feedback, bridging cultural and religious practices to build a cohesive workplace.
• Implement Chery headquarters HR policies, generate monthly workforce reports and ensure closure of HR workflows and reimbursements.
• Drive employee engagement through benefits, holiday incentives and cultural team‑building initiatives in partnership with the Administration team.

Required profile

• Valid Israeli permanent residency or full legal work authorization.
• Fluent Hebrew and professional English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3–10 years of experience in overseas or cross‑border HR operations, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of Israeli labor law, payroll processing and contract administration.
• High resilience, cross‑cultural communication skills and ownership mindset.
