Email Security Research Manager

About the role

As the Email Security Research Manager you will lead a team of researchers and analysts focused on AI‑driven email protection. You will set the technical vision, drive the research roadmap, and collaborate with engineering, product, threat intelligence, and AI teams to deliver advanced detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing Email Security research team.
• Define and execute the research, detection, and analytics roadmap for email threats.
• Drive innovation using AI and large‑language‑model technologies.
• Design advanced detections for phishing, BEC, malware, account takeover, and emerging threats.
• Improve detection efficacy through behavioral analytics, threat research, and large‑scale data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable security solutions.
• Promote technical excellence via design reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Represent the team externally through presentations, blogs, white papers, and conferences.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity research, with at least 1 year leading technical teams.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop high‑performing security researchers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on coding experience in Python.
• Experience with SQL or similar query languages for large‑scale data analysis.
