About the role

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Distinguished Architect Software Engineer to lead the design of scalable, agentic AI infrastructure for Cortex AgentiX. Based in Tel Aviv, you will shape the technical vision of autonomous cybersecurity agents and work closely with research and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design resilient, low‑latency execution environments for autonomous agents, handling state management, dynamic planning, and tool orchestration.
• Integrate LLM orchestration, vector retrieval, and automated evaluation pipelines into enterprise‑grade backend services.
• Define architectural standards for fault tolerance, security, and scalable AI operations across Cortex AgentiX.
• Lead technical design reviews, enforce rigorous testing frameworks, and mentor Principal and Staff engineers.
• Collaborate with research to translate cutting‑edge security and AI models into production‑ready products.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building high‑throughput, distributed backend systems.
• Proven architectural leadership at scale, preferably in cloud‑native environments.
• Hands‑on experience deploying production‑grade LLM architectures and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen).
• Strong background in event‑driven, asynchronous execution models.

Required skills

• Go or Python programming.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Kubernetes and microservices architecture.
• Vector databases and retrieval systems.
• LLM orchestration and automated evaluation pipelines.
