Director SoC Design Engineering - MCU

About the role

NXP Israel is seeking a Director of SoC Design Engineering to lead the RTL and DV efforts for its MCU business. The role is based at the Yokneam site and involves coordinating teams in Israel and India.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the RTL and DV teams across Yokneam, Israel and Noida, India.
• Oversee all front‑end (FE) SoC activities, including design, verification and integration.
• Manage external contractors worldwide that contribute to SoC FE work.
• Guide multi‑disciplinary teams, providing mentorship to managers and individual engineers.
• Set clear priorities, define objectives and monitor progress within an agile framework to ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in SoC design and verification.
• Strong knowledge of RTL, DV, UVM and verification tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Cadence and Synopsys simulators and verification environments.
• Proven ability to manage teams across multiple countries and work with external contractors.
• Excellent communication skills, independent yet collaborative.
• BSc in Electrical Engineering (MSc preferred).
• Experience with ultra‑low‑power design techniques and Python is a plus.
