Director of Data

About the role

Yotpo is seeking a seasoned technical leader to head its Data organization during a period of rapid growth. The Director of Data will define the vision and operating model for data engineering and infrastructure while staying hands‑on with cutting‑edge technologies that power the company’s AI‑driven eCommerce solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Data organization, building a lean, high‑performing, technically strong team.
• Own the technical vision, architecture, and execution for Data Engineering and Data Infrastructure.
• Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering accountability and engineering excellence.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, guiding architectural decisions and reviewing designs.
• Partner with R&D, Product, Finance, Support, and GTM leaders to deliver scalable data products and platforms.
• Drive modernization of the data ecosystem, balancing proven technologies with emerging AI‑driven and automated platforms.
• Lead strategic initiatives on critical infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Champion best practices in data engineering, platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform, or Data Infrastructure.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to shape technical vision and execute large‑scale data initiatives.
