Chief Technical Director - Tel Aviv Metro

About the role

Egis, an international construction engineering and mobility services group, is recruiting a Chief Technical Director for its Tel Aviv Metro Network Manager (METAV) programme. Reporting to the TLV Metro Project Director, the role leads the overall engineering leadership of the programme, covering civil infrastructure, systems, environment and Operations & Maintenance (O&M). It sits in the management team with the Project Director and Deputy Project Director and is supported by Egis regional and global technical experts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical activities of the Network Manager across all engineering disciplines.
• Define and maintain the overall engineering strategy and technical vision for the Metro programme.
• Ensure integration between civil, systems, O&M, environmental and digital engineering disciplines.
• Provide independent technical advice and recommendations to the Client throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Coordinate and supervise senior engineering managers and technical experts, and lead engineering governance processes.
• Assess technical risks, opportunities and inter-disciplinary interfaces to support programme decisions.
• Work with Project Controls, Procurement and Delivery teams to align engineering with programme objectives.
• Manage and develop a team of senior engineers and technical specialists.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
• At least 25 years of experience in large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
• Previous Chief Technical Director, Technical Director, Engineering Director or equivalent role on Metro projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering on complex rail and metro programmes and managing senior technical leaders.
• Strong understanding of metro systems, civil infrastructure, interfaces and O&M.
• Experience in large international project environments; international project experience is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
