Senior Commercial Counsel

About the role

Papaya, a fast‑growing mobile gaming company, is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join its legal team. Reporting to the VP General Counsel, you will work closely with business, marketing, finance, product and HR teams, providing practical legal guidance and supporting strategic initiatives across the company’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as SaaS, vendor, services, partnership, influencer, production contracts and NDAs.
• Manage the company’s IP portfolio, including trademark registration and enforcement on digital platforms.
• Provide legal guidance on marketing activities, promotions and consumer‑protection compliance.
• Support AI initiatives, product development and technology partnership agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Offer legal support for payment service providers (PSPs) and related transactions.
• Advise on employment‑related legal matters and internal policies.
• Act as a strategic legal‑business partner, aligning legal frameworks with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in high‑tech or gaming.
• LL.B. and a valid attorney licence.
• Extensive experience with commercial agreements and intellectual‑property matters.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.
