Safety Officer

About the role

Israel Shipyards is looking for a qualified Safety Officer to join its SHE team. The role focuses on implementing and promoting safety procedures across production facilities, ensuring a safe environment for employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and promote safety procedures and best practices throughout the plant.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for routine and complex operations.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with mandatory training and certification requirements, such as Working at Height, Lifting Equipment Operation, and Forklift Operation.
• Ensure adherence to applicable safety laws, regulations, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Provide safety guidance, training, and information to employees regarding workplace hazards.

Required profile

• Certified Safety Officer with a valid competency certificate.
• Thorough knowledge of occupational safety legislation and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Experience as a Safety Officer in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Availability for a full‑time position, including overtime as needed.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
