About the role
The Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the safety program of an industrial plant. The role ensures a safe work culture, implements procedures, and reduces occupational risks across all operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the plant’s safety portfolio and maintain up‑to‑date safety documentation.
- Implement and promote a safe work culture and safety procedures among managers and employees.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes and reduce risks through safe work procedures.
- Identify defects and safety hazards, ensure corrective actions are taken and regulations are followed.
- Conduct risk surveys, safety inspections, and regular audits.
- Monitor the proper use and condition of employees’ personal protective equipment.
Required profile
- Certification as a safety supervisor from the Ministry of Safety and Health.
- Proven experience as a safety supervisor in an industrial plant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety and health regulations applicable to industrial environments.
