Product Designer – AI-Powered HR Platform

About the role

We’re looking for a Product Designer obsessed with understanding the problem space—people, workflows, constraints—not just producing screens. You’ll own meaningful parts of the product end‑to‑end, shaping definitions, mapping journeys across HR personas, and shipping simple‑looking experiences backed by deep thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end design for core areas of the Shapes platform, from discovery to launch.
• Deeply understand users and personas (HR leaders, managers, employees, execs) and translate insights into intuitive workflows.
• Turn ambiguity into clarity by defining problems, narrowing scope, aligning on success metrics, and proposing design directions.
• Design user journeys and workflows for complex, multi‑step HR processes and AI automations, ensuring they feel trustworthy.
• Create and iterate quickly on flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs, balancing speed and depth.
• Partner tightly with product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams from concept to rollout, making trade‑offs explicit.
• Collaborate across product marketing, customer success, and sales to align product experience with positioning.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system, maintaining consistency while enabling experimentation.
• Use data and feedback loops (user interviews, analytics, support signals) to refine shipped experiences.
• Facilitate discussions and advocate for clear communication about users and product behavior.

Required profile

• 4–5+ years designing digital products, ideally B2B SaaS or workflow‑heavy tools.
• Portfolio that demonstrates problem definition, constraints, thinking, and impact beyond polished UI.
• Strong product thinking with solid interaction, UX, and visual design skills.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end design work: research, flow mapping, prototyping, iteration, and implementation support.
• Excellent communication and collaboration, comfortable leading discussions and aligning with PMs and engineers.
• Ability to move fast in ambiguous environments, knowing when to be lean versus deep.
• Systems mindset, designing for patterns, scalability, and reusability.
• Curiosity about AI as part of the design workflow.
