PCB Layout Designer - Cadence Allegro & High-Speed

About the role

Variscite is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Designer to own complex, high‑speed PCB projects from netlist through production. You will work on high‑density, multilayer boards and collaborate closely with hardware engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Own PCB layout from netlist to production‑ready Gerber files.
• Design complex, multilayer and high‑density PCBs.
• Develop high‑speed designs and interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, Ethernet and USB.
• Implement electrical and signal‑integrity constraints in close collaboration with hardware engineers.
• Work with HDI technologies and fine‑pitch BGA components.
• Support DFM and the transition from design to production.
• Create and maintain PCB libraries and footprints when needed.

Required profile

• 1‑2+ years of hands‑on PCB layout experience.
• Strong experience with Cadence Allegro PCB Editor (must).
• Experience with complex multilayer and high‑speed PCB designs.
• Experience with HDI and BGA designs.
• Good understanding of PCB constraints, design rules and DFM.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with hardware engineers.
• Practical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering education.
