Legal Counsel, Data Privacy

About the role

Medison is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead its global privacy, data protection and technology legal matters. The role will shape, implement and continuously improve a company‑wide privacy program while managing technology procurement agreements and supporting AI governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch and maintain Medison’s global privacy program, including cross‑border data transfer frameworks and privacy documentation (ROPA, retention policies).
• Draft, negotiate and manage technology procurement contracts such as SaaS, AI tools, licensing and cybersecurity vendor agreements.
• Collaborate with Information‑Based Technology (IBT), HR, Commercial, Medical, Regulatory and Tech Ops teams to embed legal considerations in projects.
• Own Medison’s AI Usage Policy and oversee AI governance, reviewing generative AI features for privacy and data‑flow impacts.
• Lead privacy work‑streams for market entry and support geo‑expansion readiness.
• Provide training, awareness and guidance on privacy and data protection across the organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating global privacy programs.
• Hands‑on experience drafting and negotiating technology procurement agreements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with diverse business units.
• Familiarity with AI governance and data‑protection documentation.
