Cancer Researcher (Persister Cell Immunotherapy)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cancer Researcher to join our laboratory at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. The position focuses on studying persister cancer cells that survive chemotherapy, with an emphasis on high‑risk neuroblastoma, and developing novel immunotherapies to prevent disease relapse.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments investigating persister cell biology and immunotherapeutic strategies.
• Perform human cell‑culture work, flow‑cytometry analyses, and gene knock‑down/knock‑out assays.
• Conduct RNA and protein assays to characterize molecular pathways.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare figures and manuscripts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Israel, the United States and Germany.
• Contribute to scientific publications, grant proposals and conference presentations.

Required profile

• PhD in life sciences with a focus on cancer molecular biology and/or immunology.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational research team.
