Senior Software Engineer – AI‑Native Python Development

About the role

Datarails is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI‑native product development on its cloud‑based FP&A platform. You will work closely with Product to turn ideas into production‑ready solutions, using AI coding agents as a core part of your workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of features, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with Product to translate business problems into clear technical solutions and execution plans.
• Design scalable architectures, APIs, data models and system integrations.
• Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate implementation, testing, debugging and automation.
• Review, validate and improve AI‑generated code to ensure security, performance and maintainability.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building SaaS products in Python.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and solid understanding of architecture and design principles.
• Ability to take full ownership of product outcomes, not just code.
• Comfort working in a fast‑growing, AI‑focused environment.
