Intelligence Analyst - Threat Hunter

About the role

Chainalysis is building a data platform for blockchain, cryptocurrency and web3, and its Alterya team focuses on AI‑powered fintech and threat intelligence. As an Intelligence Analyst – Threat Hunter you will join a global engineering group to research scams, design LLM prompts and help protect institutions from fraudulent transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Research the web to identify and define types of scams and scammers.
• Build LLM prompts and data flows to extract needed information.
• Analyze and monitor data pipelines using SQL.
• Research scam activity patterns and solve complex problems in ambiguous domains.
• Become the team’s subject‑matter expert and serve as the go‑to source of knowledge.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in fraud prevention, threat hunting or scam research.
• Strong network knowledge and deep familiarity with social media.
• Experience querying large, complex data sets with SQL.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) and good interpersonal communication.
• Quick ability to grasp new data systems and AI concepts.
