Equipment Engineer – Semiconductor Test Lab

About the role

Annapurna Labs, part of Amazon Web Services, is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support the development of its semiconductor platform. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the engineering test‑lab equipment used for hardware validation and ensuring smooth collaboration with testing vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for engineering test‑lab equipment such as testers, handlers and TCU units.
• Remotely assist Annapurna Labs testing vendors in the Far East.
• Write clear technical procedures for lab users.
• Deliver technical training to lab personnel.
• Design and develop electrical and mechanical jigs for the lab.
• Travel to vendor sites 3‑4 times per year for on‑site support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience with test handlers and/or testers is preferred.

Required skills

• Test equipment support (testers, handlers, TCU).
• Electrical design for lab fixtures.
• Mechanical design for lab jigs.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings.
